La révolution

Historical impressions of the Belgian Revolution are combined with images of present day strikes, with excerpts from interviews with the French philosopher Alain Badiou and Belgian politicians, among others, and with the artist’s early performances (see Films Actions, 1987-1989). By letting his brush move across the cinematic images, the artist is also suggesting that recorded reality embodies the pallet with which he is ’painting’.
