Provisory Object 02

This short film is the second part of a triptych that comprises three intimate silent miniatures Edith Dekyndt created between 1997 and 2004. In each film we see hands — in the third part a single hand — that hold a soap bubble. Are these images real or have they been digitally manipulated? The artist leaves us in doubt. For her, as well as for the viewer, what counts is the poetical dimension, the childish wonder and emotion such a simple action can effect.
