El Callejero Remix is a recording of a tour of the exhibition made by Vergara in 2006 in CC Strombeek. The camera passes a succession of video projections, in which Vergara as his alter ego Straatman, seated under a white canvas, is attending Mass in March of 2006 in the abbey of Grimbergen. Between animated drawings, original recordings appear as well. The sound is a mixture of Gregorian chanting, sung in the abbey church of Grimbergen, and music and echoes of fragments of Pasolini’s Il Vangelo secondo Matteo (1964). A fragment of an interview with Marcel Duchamp, broadcasted in 1966 by the ORTF (Office de radiodiffusion-télévision française), functions as the soundtrack. In the exhibition in CC Strombeek, the movie was projected on the canvas painted in the church by the artist as his alter ego Straatman.
