The title is a quote from ’Le pouvoir’, Roland Barthes’s inaugural address given on 7 January 1977 when he assumed the chair of literary semiology at the Collège de France. The movie images are taken from The Draughtman’s Contract (1982) by Peter Greenaway. Here too the images have been digitally bleached.
