Outplacement 02 (Travel)

In ‘Détachement’ and ‘Outplacement’ Crabeels researches the possibilities and limitations of mapping something by means of video. In ‘Preview’ he looks at the way video can be used to show the spectator different ‘worlds’: past/ present, trauma/ reality. Where is it a registration of something real, where does it become fiction? Point of departure for the inquiry here, is a confronting action, an impulse, an intimidation, a threat. Crabeels’ work is related to the atmosphere of the conceptual art of the 1970ies, but relates this to contemporary phenomena.
