Addictive 01

‘Addictive’ is a project, which started in the beginning of 2002. On the Internet, several web cams were sought out, aimed at sea and lakeside beaches. The rhythm of their refresh rate varies; some show fresh actualization every couple of seconds, others every ten minutes and still others every hour. The images are recorded, then subsequently edited together chronologically into a montage. This way of recording on different locations of the Earth carries some kind of independence with it, something of distance in-itself. The sequence never stops, nor does the urge to observe ’always and everywhere’.
