‘ACM, The Whole Story’ is a video project that portrays a man’s life over six years. The man is called ACM, nickname for Art-Coeur-Merci (Art-Heart-Thank you). ACM has been homeless, as society would call it, for about five years. ACM is charming and clever. He made his home on wastelands, on the edge of society, surviving with what we throw away.

Els Dietvorst met ACM six years ago during her early morning runs along the canal Brussels-Charleroi. He was living in an abandoned industrial building nearby. She waved at him, brought him breakfast, he smiled, shared his thoughts with her. Now six years later his life took a Kafkian twist. He integrated back into society and studies languages and computer. Dietvorst followed him through all this different periods of his life and portrayed him in three different films. This is the first part.
