SHEHERAZADE IN THE FOREST

A video made during the confinement of April 2020 for the magazine Amour & Sagesse.

At dusk Sheherazade walks under the plane trees and chants the ancient danse of life, the danse that wards off illness and gives strength to the fighters.

A danse from the bottom of the heart. An evening song that gathers the villagers at the balconies of their quarantine.

Sheherazade’s unconventional art finds its roots in popular music, in the memory of her ancestors, the company of large birds and the circus. She has many tricks in her symbolical and magical sack to surprise and destroy the virus and the fear.
