MOBY DICK

Jan Bulteel gave the subtitle “a sentimental epic” to his oeuvre, and that is precisely to what we are treated here. A sailor who has got into low water sets out on a quest to find the love of his life in the port of Antwerp. But with merely an old photograph of her in his pocket, he doesn’t get very far. In the smoke-stained bars with jukeboxes that play rock ‘n’ roll from the fifties, no one has seen her. At the Brussels South Fair, our anti-hero is equally unsuccessful. However, perhaps thanks to his new and really special companion, he might be able to forget the flower who he thinks lost?
