11. MADAME BERTJE

Madame Bertje is living in Molenbeek. She is shown in her living room, singing songs. Songs in ‘Bruxellois’ and in French. Often rather naughty, ’dirty’ songs. But at the same time the world is shown, unobtrusively yet striking, of a common woman who has to make do with a scanty retirement pay. Still lives from her interior ’say’ what goes without saying.
