ADRIAN PIPER : ON THE VERY IDEA OF ARTISTIC RESEARCH
LECTURE
Adrian Piper (b. 1948) is a first-generation American conceptual artist and a key figure of contemporary art. As an artist, she mainly adresses racial and gender issues through performance, video, installation, etc. She is also an analytic philosopher whose main interests are in Kant, metaethics and ethics. She lives and works in Berlin.
In the context of the seminar "Exposer la théorie" organized by CERTA (Centre de Recherche en Théorie des Arts - UCL - Université catholique de Louvain) in collaboration with Argos.
