You might have passed last week but as the contrarian petit maître liégeois de la seconde moitié du XXe siècle, you will continue to (sort of) pave the way for other (mediocre) artists.

Still, it looks like you might have finally managed to successfully escape the surveillance of the camera.

So long, Jacques. You were a pillar of the Liège artists’ collective CAP (Cercle d’Art Prospectif), a pioneer of the '70s video art and a personal inspiration to some of us at ARGOS.

Your (self)critique, self-derision and singular sense of humor live on to be particularly prophetic in trying times. Our thoughts are with you, your family and your friends.

Go in peace but with attitude and a tentative smile.
