Artists' Film International 2024: solidarity

event
Artists' Film International 2024

argos is participating in this year's edition of Artists’ Film International, a global film programme co-curated and presented by fifteen arts organisations, and convened by Forma.

The partners have commissioned and selected powerful works by talented moving image artists, all exploring the theme of Solidarity. Considering solidarity as a collective form of resistance, togetherness and interdependence, the fifteen films in AFI’24 address the ways in which solidarity is needed, sought and enacted on micro and macro scales. As a body of films, the AFI’24 programme provokes and cultivates radical imaginaries that have the potential to transform our wider, collective experience.

The programme will launch at Crawford Art Gallery in Ireland on July 4, 2024. Following this, exhibitions, screenings, and public programmes will span four continents and run for over 300 days.
