NEITHER “IN” NEITHER “OFF” (IN BETWEEN VENICE AND BIENNALE)

In the summer of 2013, Messieurs Delmotte developed a series of performances in Venice while the Biennial was taking place. In different parts in the city of doges, he poses or interacts with his direct environment. We see him balancing on a boat (‘Boat in floating’), putting his head trough the banister of a typical bridge (‘Pink Ball Bridge’), and pose with a couple of tourists that are taking their picture on the Ponte Rialto (‘Asian Couple’). Although ‘Neither “IN” Neither “OFF” (In Between Venice and Biennale)’ goes as a typical compilation of Messieurs Delmotte absurd actions in public space, the title also includes a bitter critique on the biennial and his own position as an artist.
