SIX MONITEURS À LA UNE

In this installation with six screens, Géronnez follows the principle of the collage: the six screens alternately show incoherent images that fade into images which together constitute a landscape. The focus is on the green, Western European landscape, an image the artist himself films, but he also adopts it from for example drawings by Hergé. Géronnez then paints over the images, highlighting and amplifying the contrast between the filmed, natural image and the painted, constructed image.
