YEMMA (MA MÈRE)

As an ode to the song “Yemma” (My Mother), performed by Moroccan musician Ikhalf,  Jen Debauche registered the timeless poetics of desert life. Ikhalf plays the Loutar and sings his song on a mountaintop, while looking over his traditional Moroccan village, where human and nature thrive harmoniously under the burning sun.
