"LIFE ON THE EDGE" RADIO LINE

In 1999 and 2000 Beatrijs Albers travels to the arid American desert on the borders of California, Nevada and Arizona. There she looks for the ways in which man draws out space for himself and takes political, architectural and mental ownership. The title refers to the name of an American local religious radiostation. The sound recordings of this radio are edited onto images of a near unearthly desert nature.
