FULL MOON RISING

FULL MOON RISING is an almost dichromatic film. The colour green is superimposed with footage filmed with a night vision camera. The camera remains fixed during the entire film, while the moon travels in real time across the screen, from the bottom left corner to the top right one. This ascending journey determines the length of the film.
Paracelsus, a 16th-century physician, stated that the full moon could cause madness. Even to date legends exist about the sinister influence of the moon, driving men to crime, violence, or turning them into werewolves. As in a waking dream, images of war and disaster mingle with those of the full moon. The result is a film not unlike a hallucination, but in which all images (found footage) are very real.
