PHILIPPE BRAEM

At the Centre for Fine Arts, where Phillippe Braem works and where an exhibition of the works of Nico Dockx and Christophe Terlinden is being held, Braem explains his opinion about the freedom of the artist. He particularly wonders how an artist is able to maintain his freedom when he becomes enmeshed in systems endangering that freedom. He uses collaboration with an art gallery and the moment when an artist tries to sell his work as examples. Angel Vergara introduces the example of a collaboration between MAC’s, S.M.A.K. and Coca-Cola, in which artists were invited to create designs for Coca-Cola cans.
