LARGUEZ LES AMARRES

A cinematographic poem on Robert Fischer and Henri Storck. Especially art, the individual and society play leading parts. Storck tells us about his meeting with Eisenstein in 1928, and his first steps into the world of cinematography. The title ’Larguez les amarres’ (sailing away) was inspired by an article by Robert Fischer in the catalogue of the third international video week at Saint Gervais, Geneva, in 1989. Storck died in 1999, and at the time of the filming Fischer was dying in a centre for palliative care in Zurich.
