TRAVELOGUE 5: DÉJÀ-VU

‘Déjà-vu’ deals with virtual tourism in Japan and is based on the idea of being somewhere else without having to leave your homeland. This one-hour documentary presents Japan as a world fabricator of déjà-vu future and explores the characteristics and directions emerging in this era of cultural experience through both the familiar European, and contrasting Japanese models. The documentary is shot in marriage halls, museums, temples and sects, love hotels and theme parks all over Japan. This is the new Japan where what you see may not always be what you get.
