MIET WARLOP

Miet Warlop holds a master degree in Visual Arts of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent (2003). With her graduation project Huilend Hert/Aangeschoten Wild, she won the residence prize for young theatre work at TAZ Oostende (2004). Many performances and actions followed. She also worked as a scenographer for performances by other artists. After making a solo series of Propositions, called Grote Hoop/Berg (2006-2008), she created Springville, a 50 min moving game of chaos, expectation and surprise. With Springville she was selected for the Theatre Festival 2010 in Antwerp. Currently she lives in Berlin where she is working on a new series of dynamic acts, and concentrates on her visual art work.
